Who is Confucius?

Home / Glossary / Who is Confucius?

Confucius, or Kong Fuzi, was a Chinese philosopher and thinker who lived between 551 BC and 479 BC. His philosophy, based on principles such as respect, ethics, and morality, became the foundation of one of the most important traditions in Chinese culture and influenced various cultures around the world.

Confucian thought focuses on the importance of human relationships, social harmony, and the pursuit of self-knowledge, promoting virtue as the path to a fulfilling life.

“The man who moves mountains begins by carrying small stones.”

Confucius believed that great achievements begin with small actions and that, by cultivating virtues in everyday life, human beings can attain wisdom and fulfillment. For him, persistence and daily effort were essential for any true transformation.

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.”

This phrase reflects Confucius' view on full dedication and commitment to everything we do. He taught that actions should be guided by sincerity and commitment, always seeking the best in every situation.

Confucius left a lasting legacy that is still reflected today, not only in China but in many parts of the world. His teachings on ethics, leadership, and respect are still studied and applied in various fields, such as education, politics, and philosophy.
